Whatever Happened to Veronica Castro and is there Life After Telenovelas? is a play that takes place in Pilsen, Chicago, a Mexican neighborhood. The proprietor of Cielo y Tierra Botanica is Berta Santiago. She is known far and wide for her healing powers of the spirit, mind and body. Aurora is visiting Berta’s shop today. She hasn’t seen her in a long while. It turns out that ICE is raiding the local neighborhoods, so Aurora feels it might be safe in her friend’s store, beingthat Berta is an American citizen.
