Phillip "Lip" Lewis is a theatremaker, writer, and director from the South Side of Chicago. His work blends magical realism, cultural mythology, and intersectional identity, crafting narratives that unearth hidden histories and challenge perceptions. Passionate about accessibility, he integrates ASL and inclusive storytelling into his work. His projects, including The Prohibition Thirst, Deep Cuts, and Unearthed Crown, explore race, queerness, and belonging. As an Audience Development Associate at Court Theatre, he fosters connections between art and community, championing theater as a space for transformation.
