Eleanor Kahn

About

Eleanor Kahn is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus in scenic and installation design. Kahn began her career in theater and has worked on over 100 productions as scenic and/or details design since moving to Chicago in 2012. Her work also extends into experiential, immersive, event and community-focused design. Highlights include: creative direction and design for an immersive lobby activation at the Harris Theater for English National Ballet’s production of CREATURE, scenic design for Iron & Wine on their national Outside Problems tour, an installation in Millennium Park celebrating the 2019: Year of Chicago Theatre, lead Details Designer for Hebru Brantley’s Nevermore Park, and special event design for the Grant Park Music Festival’s premiere performance back at Pritzker Pavilion in 2021. Eleanor received her Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University with a second major in Performing Arts. She went on to receive her MFA in Scenic Design from Boston University. eleanorkahn.com
